The End...

...came today for my best friend Rudy. He was truly a stellar four footed companion and his end was peaceful, with his family around him telling him how much they loved him.
Surely to God he is in Heaven, hiking through the woods with my grandfather. I will miss him more than I thought possible - my best friend and the fellow who taught me more about life and myself than I deserved to know.

Oh Peenut. I'm all soggy eyed. Can't imagine how lost you must be feeling. He was the finest of hounds, and a superb friend. Goodbye Rudy.

We love you. We are thinking of you and Rudy, who is no doubt young again, happy, healthy and chasing cloud bunnies somewhere in the great beyond.

thank you everyone - I hope soon I will be able to think of him without crying because he really was a joy, an absolute joy who helped me see past myself.

At least he had the best goodbye possible, and knew how loved and appreciated he was.

I'm so sorry Peanut.
